Final destination

This is a short silent horror comic titled “Marathon” by K.S (a Singaporean horror comic artist known for twisted, ironic endings).
Here’s the full story, panel by panel:
1–3. A runner (#574) is exhausted during a marathon. He’s sweating heavily, desperately grabs a bottle of water that’s being handed out, and chugs the entire thing in one go.

Immediately after drinking, he throws the empty bottle away and starts feeling strange.

5–6. His eyes widen in terror. Something is clearly very wrong inside his face turns pale, veins bulging.

Cut to the “aid station”: we see a creepy man with a sinister smile handing out bottles to the runners while another runner drinks in the background.
The main runner now sees the finish line in the distance… but the finish line is a cemetery gate held by two angel statues, with the word “FINISH” on a banner.

9–10. He realizes he’s dying. He looks back and sees the other runners are also collapsing, turning into zombies/ghosts, all of them poisoned.
11–12. He tries to scream in horror as his body starts decaying/zombifying. He keeps running forward in panic.

Final panels: he stumbles across the actual finish line of the real marathon in the city, arms raised in “victory,” still screaming, now fully turned into a rotting corpse/zombie. The living crowd cheers for him, completely unaware that he’s dead and the first-place “runner” who just crossed the line is actually a corpse.

Moral / punchline at the end (shown in the ad panel):
“don’t accept drinks from strangers”
The whole comic is a dark joke: the runners were poisoned by the water handed out by a random creepy stranger, died mid-race, turned into the undead, but their bodies kept “running” on autopilot and finished the marathon anyway. The winner is literally a dead man. Classic horror irony.
