Wind

This is a viral animated horror short (often called “Gusts of Cold Wind” or “The Girl Who Takes Selfies”) that circulates on TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter as a meme/comic. It’s a modern ghost story told in classic “scary story” format with a twist ending. Here’s what’s actually happening panel-by-panel:

The story is about a young woman (the girl with the white bow and bob haircut) who is revealed to be a vengeful ghost. She has been dead for years, but no one notices because she keeps inserting herself into people’s lives and photos, desperately trying to feel alive and part of a happy family/friend group.

Key details:

  1. First scenes (the loud, sweaty family with the baby): These are flashbacks or idealized memories the ghost has of the “perfect happy family” she never actually had while alive.
  2. The dark house at night with lit windows: The family’s house after the ghost has killed them all.
  3. Every time the girl appears “happy” and takes selfies, she’s actually forcing herself into strangers’ lives. The black vomit, cold wind, swirling debris, and motion lines are classic horror indicators that something supernatural and malevolent is happening.
  4. People’s terrified reactions (running away, screaming, rocks being thrown, etc.): They can sense something is horribly wrong with her (she’s ice-cold, smells of death, brings freezing wind, etc.), even if they can’t see she’s a ghost yet.
  5. The phone screens showing distorted, screaming ghost faces: When people later look at the photos she insisted on taking with them, they realize the “cute girl” in the picture is actually a decayed corpse or screaming spirit.
  6. The final scenes on the pier: She’s still doing the same thing years later — posing happily for selfies with new victims, who are already starting to feel the unnatural cold and terror, while she remains oblivious (or pretends to be), repeating her cycle forever.

The caption at the end seals it:

“Gusts of cold wind have been swirling around me since I was little.”

Meaning: She died as a child (or young woman), and the “cold wind” everyone feels is her ghostly presence. She’s been a dead spirit the entire time, haunting people and trying to live the warm, happy life she never had.

It’s essentially a tragic but terrifying version of “The Ghost Who Just Wants to Be Instagram Famous.” Very popular creepypasta-style animation.
