Bees are incredible little engineers of the natural world!

Honey bees perform a famous waggle dance — a figure-eight wiggle — to communicate the location and quality of food sources to their hive mates.

They’re vital pollinators: about one in every three bites of food we eat relies on bees and other pollinators.
A single worker honey bee produces only about 1/12 teaspoon of honey in her lifetime, but collectively, a hive can make way more than they need (lucky for us!).
Bumblebees have tiny brains (about the size of a poppy seed), yet they’ve been trained by scientists to play “bee soccer” for treats.
