Our lost journey

This is a complete comic story (by the artist Tum Ulit) that tells a bittersweet, sci-fi-tinged love story with a twist ending. Here’s what happens, panel by panel:

A couple (short-haired guy in brown/red jacket + ponytail girl in green) are happily dating. They walk hand-in-hand in the park with their big fluffy white dog (a Samoyed).
One day the guy notices something off: there are shadowy figures following them, the dog barks aggressively at nothing, a mosquito-like thing flies near his head, etc. Strange little clues.
Flashback: “5 months ago…” The same guy (back when he had short black hair) was trying to confess to the girl with roses and a balloon that says “I LIKE U”. She was walking away, not interested.
Suddenly the dog goes berserk, the guy starts glitching/pixelating, and everything falls apart. The roses and balloon float away.
Cut to: both the guy and the girl are tied up and gagged by masked kidnappers, with the dog sitting calmly nearby.
A scientist is about to erase or overwrite the guy’s memory using some brain device (he’s wearing a helmet with electrodes).
The memory that gets implanted: a perfect fake relationship where the girl loves him back, they have the dog together, go on cute dates, eat Harvest Snaps, etc. — basically the entire “happy couple” life we saw at the beginning.
In the implanted memory, the girl eventually “leaves” him (same way she rejected him in real life), he’s heartbroken again, everything starts glitching once more.
Back in reality: the real girl (still wearing the same green outfit) wakes up or is shown crying, covering her mouth in horror.
Final twist panels:
The “guy” we followed the whole story is actually the short-haired girl from the real couple.
She paid (or forced) someone to implant a fantasy memory in which the ponytail girl loved her back (i.e., a yuri/lesbian fantasy relationship).
The last image is the real ponytail girl facing the “delete memory” prompt — implying she’s about to erase the fake happy memories from the other girl’s mind, or perhaps deciding whether to keep her trapped in the fantasy.

TL;DR:
It’s a tragic yuri story: Girl A loves Girl B. Girl B doesn’t love her back. Girl A kidnaps Girl B and forcibly implants an artificial memory/dream in Girl B’s mind where they are a happy couple (with a dog and Harvest Snaps). We, the readers, were seeing the fake implanted memory the whole time. In the end the illusion is breaking and reality is coming back.
